1. Go to the
Google Cloud Console
2. Create a new project (or select an existing one)
3. Go to
APIs & Services > Library and enable these two APIs:

Maps JavaScript API
•
Directions API
4. Go to
APIs & Services > Credentials
5. Click
Create Credentials > API Key
6. Copy the key and paste it above
Note: Google requires a billing account, but offers a free tier ($200/month credit). You can restrict your key to only these two APIs under
API restrictions for extra safety.
